How Corporate Logos Changed Over the Years [Infographic]
We know our favorite brands by the logos they have created. We can often spot these brands without even seeing their name, just the logo that represents their company.
Did you know that many of the logos we know today are not the company’s original logo? They have all changed and evolved over the years to keep up with trends and design fads through the years. If you have been around for a while, you may remember some of the older logos or possibly you have forgotten many of the early versions much like I have.
It is interesting to see the very first logos of these companies and compare it to sleek and hip logo they use today. It seems that many of the logos are getting simpler with strong, solid colors. One logo that surprised me was Apple’s original logo which looks like a family crest. I would say that the latest one is probably working a lot better for them. 😉
These are just a few companies who have changed their logos over the years. Can you think of others that have changed? Logos included are Pepsi, Shell, Xerox, BMW, IBM, Can0n, Kodak, Volkswagen, YMCA, Apple, Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft Windows.
