Our Planet From the Top to the Bottom

April 12, 2013  |  Nature Infographics

We learn about the mountains and the seas in school but it is hard to actually picture how deep the oceans are or how high the mountains reach. This nature infographic captures the heights and depths of these natural wonders so that we can see for ourselves.

The infographic below shows the comparisons of mountains and their relation to land and sea levels. You can also see the deepest part of the ocean and where everything else in between compares. If you are into nature and the environment then this infographic will interest you.

It is incredible to look at this infographic and realize that Mount Everest could fit into the Mariana Trench and still be underwater for a couple thousand feet. It is almost incomprehensible to think just how high these mountains can be and how deep the oceans are. Our world is truly amazing and sometimes we take it for granted.
